FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – PRESS RELEASE

55 Year-Old Pittsburgh Pool & Hot Tub Company Continues Retail Growth

Coming November 19th, Valley Pool & Spa will be adding it’s 1st Butler County location in Cranberry Twp.  This marks the 9th location, and the 4th in 4 years.

PITTSBURGH, November 12, 2021 – Retail isn’t dead when it comes to Pittsburgh’s own Valley Pool & Spa. While some retailers are downsizing, specialty retail continues to find a place, especially when it’s tied to experiences and the need to learn from experts. That is what’s driving the continued success and growth at Valley Pool & Spa, a proud operating division of Phoenix-based Leslie’s. It’s also no secret that the pandemic has drove many homeowners to invest heavily in staycation lifestyles as they found an outlet for relaxation while social distancing.  The demand for the products that Valley distributes has increased drastically during the last 18 months, making it the right time to enter the ever-growing market of Cranberry Twp.

The new Valley Pool & Spa Cranberry Twp store will be located in the old Pier 1 space on Route 19 in front of Walmart. The neighboring businesses are Total Hockey, Einstein Bagels, Jiffy Lube, and Harvest. The store is also very close to the new Dicks Sporting Goods concept, Public Lands.

As an award winning staple in Pittsburgh and within the pool & spa industry since 1967, Valley’s original location is still operating and thriving on Route 30 in North Versailles. Corinne Kraft purchased the business from her grandparents in 1987, and continues to oversee and lead Valley to this day as a Senior Vice President for Leslie’s & Valley.  “The team of passionate, well educated and dedicated employees is what gives Valley the edge of continued growth, allowing the business to expand for its loyal customer base.” says Kraft. Valley will now expand to over 75 full-time employees.

VPS MANAGERS

“Our employees are real experts in the field and we love to share our knowledge with pool & spa owners.” says Eric Cassidy, VP of Sales & Operations for Valley. “The new Cranberry Twp store will allow us to enter a portion of Western PA that our customers have wanted us to be in for years, and this will also allow us to extend our reach into the northern market along I-79 and the PA turnpike towards Beaver County.  We hope this brings joy to a lot of current, as well as future pool & spa owners” says Cassidy. “Our team can’t wait to meet new faces and help them with their pool or spa ownership.”

The new store will be the first of Valley’s new “leisure concept” store layout, by adding Finnleo Saunas and Broil King Grills to our product mix. “Although aboveground pools, hot tubs, swim spas, water treatment products, and pool supplies are the core of our business, we’re really excited to continue focusing on the growth of health and wellness products like Saunas, and backyard lifestyle products like Grills” says Cassidy.  The new Cranberry Twp store will raise the bar by expanding the in-store experiences that customers have known to love, and will give pool & hot tub owners in Butler county and all area’s north of Pittsburgh a chance to experience Valley for themselves.
